It's been years since I read manga or watched anime... And this was the first since that long pause.

This manga was truly something... The writing, the characters, the style... I loved every single bit of it. And while I knew what was coming since about the second half, I feared reaching that point.

Thank you for reaching and finally breaking my heart with this peace of art. I cried and cried and this really did something to me. And thank you to the scanlators of Knowledge Liberation Fonts, they did an amazing job conveying the feelings. I'm gonna go cry a bit more now and will probably not be able to read anything else because I will miss this. ❤️

Don't let the tragedy tag dissuade you from this masterpiece. Recommended for all! 10/10

Despite this having the tragedy tag, it is very uplifting and delivers about as happy of an ending as you can expect, all things considered. You should definitely be left feeling happy and thankful for what the characters were able to communicate to and receive from each other. One of the best examples of compassionate true love being the conduit for each other's salvation.

While there are some tear-inducing panels towards the end, they hit hard, in part, because of inspiring tears of joy for reinforcing how strongly the characters cherish each other. Just re-reading some of the last few page of Ch. 32 now... they are so good at conveying that! (Although it's making my throat ache a bit.)

There is some sadness that can come from thinking about the future the main couple missed out on, but Best Girl will not be happy if you dwell overmuch on that, so try not to! 😢

Story-wise, some of the elements may have fit together a little too coincidentally, such as the revealed backstory and the precise timing of how things wrapped up, but that allows the series to come in at ~30 chapters instead of ~200 chapters and makes it excellent for a quick and regular re-read. The ending is very well done, which is rare enough, but very rare for the kind of romantic salvation where (F)MC lifts (F)MC out of despair with reciprocated true love. ReLife comes to mind as something with a similar vibe (in that respect) but it's over 200+ chapters.

This series is not really heavy on romance or "girls love" but I wasn't missing either as the compassionate true love sentiment was so well delivered. I am honestly so happy to have another well-crafted, well-ended short series that I can easily re-read in 3-4 hours!

Basically, there was a girl who know she's going to die soon. And instead of trying to go out as quietly as possible or just fulfilling her bucket's list like every others decent human, she decided it'd be funny to drag an unrelated girl toward a pain and suffering end. Just so she could write a letter saying she had a fun, fulfilling life and love the girl, too. Thus guaranteeing that the other girl gonna be suffering for a foreseeable future.
Romantic, my arse. It's a psychopathic bitch.

This is a masterpiece, the drawings are great and the story is deep.
But I couldn't stop crying from the middle to the end while reading it and was really depressed by the end. So to all those who can't deal with drama - don't ready it.

read this during one of my shifts while working today and my god I had to try so hard to hold back tears. Genuinely such a heart-wrencher, but I would absolutely recommend giving it a read if you can.

Definitely will go in my favorites, although I don't think I could ever bring myself to read it again.
10/10.
