When I first read this part in the novel I felt really bad for the mc because of how much the family that he had built up had fallen and ever his great x30ish granddaughter seemed to be so Ill suited to being the head of the family, it wasn’t till later that I seemed to have forgot that.
mc and the ancestor are not the same person so mc kinda doesn’t give a flying f**k.
