I’m both interested what’s coming soon. I’ve seen some of the raws and I know
Mia will have the spotlight for a while. Though I don’t know if I’m going to like having to go back to those snobs that made Phila’s life hell…

It feels so, so sad for Philia to finally realized all of her efforts are being regarded with high esteem. But of course, very liberating and satisfied.

This is also a lesson to the readers, if your effort is not accepted even after all the hardwork you did, maybe you need to change where you are.

I'm so glad new kiddo is such a sweet kid.

Poor MC realising she was being told she was worthless while the rest of the world thought of her as a kind, conscientious and helpful teacher.

Thanks so much for the tl!

That nation should've long crumbled before she even came of age; what with them being extremely opposed to intellects, innovations, and plain common sense.

About that
The ill king, Philia's master, etc are competent. It's only when this clown prince got in charge that things start going to shit.
And of course while that trash was in charge Philia being extremely competent kept things afloat longer than otherwise, despite how much she's scorned for.

Even the parents being trash have their reasons (it's not a 'good' reason, but it 'make sense' why they treat Philia so badly)

This is just like a female version of that barrier master manga. Both have home nations that are extremely terrible to the MCs and they themselves thought they weren't good enough until they switched nations and literally became god on earth.

I can’t imagine what the reason her parents have is or how it could make sense unless it is stupidly contrived, like some nonsense prophecy or whatever.

Well, it involves a pretty big spoiler, so be warn.
The father has looooooooooooong felt jealousy/inferiority complex towards the aunt who's Philia's real mother.

While the aunt was out doing her saintess work back then, he kept spreading lies about her and eventually their father took his side and disowned her.

However after getting married he couldn't conceive for a long time, and the tradition of their house demands that if the current head doesn't have a child they must adopt one from relatives...and so he forcibly took Philia from her mother.

But once Mia was born, they no longer had a need for Philia...and her looking exactly like her real mother probably was triggering his past memories.

The impression I get is the nation was too big to have immediately collapse, but it's slowly rotted from inside out.

Assuming you mean the one Aliamus posted after his edit (I had the same thought process as them) the MCs are nothing alike. The barrier master has a harem chasing after him, he's prideful, greedy and overall very open about his desires. The "they themselves thought they weren't good enough" doesn't apply at all. He very much knew his worth, but was banished after being framed to have planned a coup.

If you mean the first one posted, also not fitting. He was trained to be an expert, which he knew, and before leaving nuked the royal palace and half the capital out of existence in retaliation. Also harem.

Not the original commenter, but I think they are talking about this one.
EDIT: It might be this one? Yeah probably this one.
neither original commentor, nor second commentor, but as the third(? haven't read past the quoted comment yet) commentor I can assert that it is most definitely the second one that second comment listed.

edit: as third (apparently I was fourth) comment said, the mc is very different from this mc (and overall story too). But they are very alike in the premise, where they were essentially the guardian of their nation, treated poorly, and when they came to a new place everyone treats them as god and such.
