Seems overkill. There are three real criminals who used the absence of the king to implement their plan.
They deserve blame, along with some high-level professionals who whined about someone being more proficient at their jobs than they are, if you stretch things a bit.
The king and most citizens are probably innocent and don't deserve to fall to a demon invasion as a result.
Maybe, but it seems like everyone was pushing work onto her. Plus the first chapter says a lot of people were resentful because she took their jobs.

For anyone interested I think the manga is this one: Yuiitsu Muni no Saikyou Tamer

That's the one, thanks for doing the work I skipped out on.

Not exactly. Her family pushed every kind of roles onto her as "the bare minimum a saintess would do". And her every success increased the expectations, making them add to her workload again. I'm not sure if they intended to break her with overwork from the beginning or it became the goal later on, but the people of the country didn't ask her to do all of this until it just became her usual routine.
She never knew what exactly the work of a saintess is, so she just took whatever she was told as truth.
Plus the first chapter says a lot of people were resentful because she took their jobs.
I mentioned them (the second line you quoted from me), but they seemed to be a minority.
Because she wasn't doing everybody's work, only the work of a few professionals. And as it looks, she took the work that they couldn't (or couldn't be bothered to) do in the first place. So, the complaints were mostly from people who were upset that she made them look bad or useless.

This is shown later as some of the work she used to do was not picked up by others. Even in her absence, those people were too busy not working to pick up their own roles again. They just expected the younger sister to pick up those tasks herself, underlining the hypocrisy of their former complaints.

don't have much to say that hasn't been said. I like the little sister, wishing her safety and protection. she has her priorities with those whom she respects and loves, even more than her greedy father-mother

In most stories like this the younger sister is naive but also complicit.
You’re wrong, sadly enough. At least in most of the mangas I read (I’ve seen some where your right tho) the younger sister is all evil and junk and is like “Your an eyesore! classic Stupid exile ensues” .
I do love the sister and how she actually treats her sister like a family member and is absolutely fucking disgusted by something (yes the prince has lost human privileges) that you would be disgusted with

Heeeeh. So it turns out the brilliance and competency was genetic to a degree. Must've skipped a generation though.

More importantly, if Philia being so omni-disciplinary was such a problem, they should have been blaming her parents for imposing too much of that on her during her education.

Mia is furious and she'll sink these three sacks of shit in due time. Can't wait.
