@Grimreefer maybe because Sung Woo Kong/Sun Woo Kong or the monkey king is their preference for names. Maybe because the monkey king is OP that he got his name everywhere in the webtoon lol

I really like this manhwa, but seriously, what is it with everyone looking down on the MC when he clearly beats up a group of people in front of them
Beats up like 20 guys and the rest are like "THIS GUY IS JUST AN IDIOT, LET'S KEEP ATTACKING"
Other than that, this is a really fun series. I would rate it probably in the 7.8 - 8 ranking

Gosh bless Zero-scans for giving proper translations to these sort of wuxia stories. Even though it's Korean, it still acts very much like most Chinese stories.
Which honestly, is a shame. The MC turned out to seek out violence and injustices, instead of prioritizing solving things in any other way. We see the MC basically telling other people: "You dare!?", without ever losing the consequent fights.
the MC's a dumb kid who was given superpowers, and thinks he can take on the world...The issue, is that he actually does take it on. He should've been taught a lesson, which just doesn't happens. Everything goes way too well for himself, and his family. It's kinda boring that way.

That being said, the story is still good enough to read, but it is a real shame a Korean writer is using Chinese tactics to blow up pages (basically what "gregger" said, alongside with hostile-everyone, who'd stop their plans to constantly attack the MC and his family only once their hands are ripped off.)

@traanngp Not the poster in question but if you are looking for some wuxia recommendations I'd suggest checking out:

The Breaker - Set in the modern day buy very much a classic wuxia setup (It's also complete and has a complete sequel as well). https://mangadex.org/title/65/the-breaker

Peerless Dad - Fairly slow development but a relatively unique setup for the main character. https://mangadex.org/title/29130/peerless-dad

Chronicles of the Heavenly Demon https://mangadex.org/title/34144/chronicles-of-heavenly-demon

Legend of the Northern Blade https://mangadex.org/title/49273/legend-of-the-northern-blade

Ruler of the Land - From the same author as the Breaker, over 500 chapters and still ongoing. The quality improves as it goes on but its pretty entertaining. https://mangadex.org/title/660/the-ruler-of-the-land

Volcanic Age https://mangadex.org/title/23232/volcanic-age
Gosu https://mangadex.org/title/16948/gosu
Blades of the Guardian https://mangadex.org/title/19942/blades-of-the-guardians
The Scholar's Reincarnation https://mangadex.org/title/23229/the-scholar-s-reincarnation
Wu Dao Kuang Zhi Shi https://mangadex.org/title/934/blood-and-steel

If you're looking for wuxia novels I'd suggest starting off with either Smiling Proud Wanderer or The Condor Heroes trilogy.

For Xianxia, honestly a lot of webcomics arent great, a lot are in the "They're fine 6/10" for the "good" ones. Most are also adaptions of webnovels and you're often better going for the source. I'd recommend Ze Tian Ji (which is just straight up a "good novel") and World of Cultivation (which is a good webnovel), both are complete and fully translated.

For comics I'd recommend, roughly in order of quality (I'd consider most of these 7 or 8 out of 10) Some of these might technically be xuanhuan not xianxia I suppose.

Heresy https://mangadex.org/title/34771/heresy
Jiang Ye https://mangadex.org/title/13949/jiang-ye
Miao Shou Xian Dan https://mangadex.org/title/21448/miao-shou-xian-dan
Cultivation Chat Group (a comedy set in the modern day) https://mangadex.org/title/24149/cultivation-chat-group
Song of the Sky Pacers https://mangadex.org/title/38539/song-of-the-sky-walkers
Martial Legacy https://mangadex.org/title/31114/martial-legacy
Spirit Blade Mountain https://mangadex.org/title/20902/spirit-blade-mountain

At a step down from those:

Tales of Demons and Gods (basically the "Naruto of xianxia" for both the positives and negatives of that comparison) https://mangadex.org/title/16069/tales-of-demons-and-gods
Battle Through the Heavens (covers all the main xianxia genre elements, once youve read this you've basically read all the more generic xianxia stories) https://mangadex.org/title/11804/fights-breaking-through-the-heavens
The Ghostly Doctor (fairly representative of the whole slew of "Female MC gets reincarnated and is OP") https://mangadex.org/title/28495/the-ghostly-doctor

I don't know if I'd rate any of them a 10/10 but I think they're the standouts for webcomics in the wuxia and xianxia genre

@traanngp The other guy has mentioned a lot of good ones.
Anyways.
Mangas:
- Kenji
- History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
- Veritas
- Yongbi
* I'd have put Chinmi here if they are fully-translated.
Webcomics:
- Nano Machine
- Murim Login
- The Pinnacle
- Tale of a Scribe Who Retires to the Countryside. Translation is kinda shit unfortunately.
Webnovel:
- Nano Machine
- The Grandmaster's Strategist
- Reverend Insanity (the only xianxia I can stand)
Novels:
- Legend of the Condor Heroes have OK fan translation.
- All other Jin Yong's novels. Smiling Proud Wanderer is especially popular, but the fan translation is not that great.
*Jin Yong webcomics on mangadex are absolute shite.
TV:
- TVB 1983's Legend of the Condor Heroes adaptation
- Other 80's TVB's adaptations. Except Smiling Proud Wanderer.
- Some 90's TVB's adaptations.
Movies:
- too many to mention

They are mostly wuxias. None of them is perfect. But any criticism is in the spoiler territory.
Basically Koreans make better wuxia webcomics today. Ironic. Or possibly the good Chinese ones are just not translated.

This had a lot of potential at the start but now it's turned into "monster of the week" where monster is an asshole human. Then the OP protagonist beats them up. Repeat.

This is good but the Mc is too naïve and he doesn't kill people who deserve to die and it's starting to get pretty old quickly.
If someone tried to kill me and my family I would kill them not cripple them, they don't deserve mercy.

The art is good and the characters are also good but most of them are arrogant assholes.

It's alright.

@StinkyPoopy123 It's based on martial arts but it's not wuxia/xianxia. The MC isn't some ruthless bipolar character who will kill everyone and their whole sect while raping every girl just because he got disrespected by some young master.

Wholesome murim ftw. These are what I like about this genre.

@crymsong you have it wrong there lol. It's just a badly represented genre, it's not supposed filled to be ruthless bipolar chars. Have you heard of the Jinyong series? Novel. Granddaddy of the genre. Originally murim stuff are supposed to be a lot more honourable...

this is good, 9/10. but the interactions are too much, too forgetful, and too many introduced villager a b c that doesnt appear next time and readers forget them. after chapter 30 something it went downhill and i can rate this at 7/10.
