As someone who has experienced something similar to her trauma, I'm not really surprised that she still feels to some extent that she doesn't deserve to be happy. That if Aqua was supposed to be with a girl who she perceives to be superior to her, that she's the villain for getting in the way. But I do agree that something needs to happen to increase her self-confidence so we can enjoy the story moreee

Glad I’m not the only one thinking a drowning incident was about to happen. Aishira’s ‘innocent’ smiles made me restless :/

I hope there’s more Akari though, leaking more info on the otome sequel just to mess with Tiara (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)

@Kaarme I think it's less her thinking of him as an NPC and more thinking that there might be an unseen force that could potentially cause them to act more closely to the original script of the game. This worry isn't just tied to the other characters, ether. She's extremely worried that she herself is currently or can eventually be influenced by that force and is afraid of acting as a genuine villainess due to it. Of course, in actuality it's just her struggling with her own jealousy and insecurity, but because she has prior knowledge about the setting being the same as the game it's messing with her head too much and inflating her anxiety. If she hadn't known that Aishra was the heroine of the sequel then she wouldn't have as much of a problem(if any) and they would have become great friends right from the beginning.

@Svelandria Yeah, it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy for her. She's treating Aishira more poorly and unnaturally because she imagines the plot will push Aqua and Aishira together. Like you said, if she hadn't been informed of Aishira's role in the game sequel, she would likely be behaving differently, though I believe she would still be wary of Aishira. So far I'd indeed say it's all in Tiara's head. What happened in the beginning was due to Akari driving the events in that direction, following the game plot, which Akari happened to know and could thus easily exploit, being another isekai transfer.

Oof we are probably in for a while arc of her being insecure and jealous of Aishira.

@Absolus man if anyone was trapped in one of these games they'd have every right to be insecure. Heroines are disasters on the order of category 5 hurricanes

She's insecure about being unable to change the path of the game when she already managed to avoid going down the villainess route in her former kingdom??

@AmyzingAmy

Not at all, she has actually completed her actual route, the only change was when she collapsed... and her story ended with the hart prince banishing her (since from thereon after she no longer has any role in-game), so that means she's now free of any ties from the story.

however, she doesn't know a thing about the sequel therefore she's still a bit anxious of her role and presence.
Tho it seems like the sequel never started the way it should start therefore it probably would've never followed the story in the first place... If only Tiara was a bit more assertive and confident, anxiety can be a real pain to deal with.

I really like how insecure she is. I mean its natural considering her position and what she knows of this "game world" On another note ive delayed reading this due to how long chapters take to load now and man It seems I will have to keep delaying. Takes way too long to load 1 chapter ;__:

so aishira is 14? and how old is everyone else....? anyways she's probably a really nice girl but tiara's anxiousness from the otome game is tying into this world and i really don't want that to be an issue

To be honest I think she should confide on Aqua... Communication is important and taking into account how much he loves her the best course of action would be to talk to him about those insecurities instead of melt and drown in jealousy. I'm not saying she should just tell him "don't involve yourself with Aishira from now on" because that's impossible since she's like a business partner and an important asset for the kingdom but instead tell him how insecure she feels when they're together due to her experience with Fartknights..... Yes, probably Aqua would feel a bit hurt because it seems she doesn't trust nor love him enough but can you blame her?

she's really insecure even though he's already shown he'll chose her no matter what. Also, she better repay those fairies before they get tight
