I mean, we did see him contemplate their conversation a chapter or two ago. Out of all the people that wanted him to take over, she's the only one that suggested he do it for the people. He saw her situation at home wasn't that good when the butler of their mansion seemed to have more say than her, and he now knows a relative(?) of his hit her face. I'd say all that stacked together warrants at least a bit of concern.

More importantly though, can't wait to see the look on that thots face when he chooses to dance with her (if he does dance).
