@Cams3 That's exactly it. The mother is a selfish witch who cares mainly for money and power. She mainly dotes on her son so much as she also sees him as her ticket to greater wealth and power once he becomes emperor. Her daughter can't offer anything bigger than what they already have, so I think that's why she hates on her so much.

From what I have seen, Tia is certainly more beautiful than her mother. Her mother looks like a whore while Tia looks like an elegant noblewoman.

My only thought in regards to why the mum looks young was just that she rolled 6/6/6 in genetics,
at least i like to imagine so just so i can have a good laugh at the idea of the protagonist in her old age looking young while her husband is instead an almost literal bag of bones and eveyone just thinking hes a pedo or something.

I thought the mother was just blessed, ironic, in looks since that's all she goes on about. She even says her daughter is ugly, which she isn't so I assume she pretty dumb, since she couldn't support her son herself and made her daughter do it and all she knows how to do is manipulate the king with her face she can't be too smart. She even left proof she murdered the previous head and it's probably going to come into play somehow this time. Should be easy to get rid of her with how smart the FL is supposed to be
