You missed a couple of things.
First up, asher has a ability as well, his is something like hyper speed or probably closer to teleportation, he shows aria his ability first (though this in itself, hints aria isn't just a daughter of a prostitute), later on aria explains to asher her ability, as well as her previous life, which severely angers asher when he realizes what she went through and thus, can't blame her for her mindset.
This is kindas not spoilers, but something i feel should be stated as it kinda colors the ending pre- side stories.
Some might feel bad for the count, cain or mielle throughout this, however the count could have prevented all of this if he had actually treated aria and her mother like family, and reined in mielle and cain, which is why aria couldn't forgive him, he ends up killing himself after losing everything.
Cain is somewhat sympathetic, but that's a different topic and one of those "see for yourself" things, mielle's end is bit sad if you don't listen to aria's own words throughout the story, aka had she just shown her a little bit of warmth she probably wouldn't have been able to go through with her revenge, asher seems to think mielle got off light for all the torment aria went through but aria is finally able to move on, which is more important to him.
