I dont believe the novel directly states when Asher realizes he mixed up Miella and Aria, but it will be soon after this that it becomes clear that they are only sending small gifts/trinkets to Mielle to keep up appearances and Aria is their real target

For those saying Oscar is a victim in all this, i get why you all say that, but come on, in actuality he's just a spineless, cowardly boy that can't stand up to his sister and can't make a damn discussion between the two sisters, telling both what they want to hear and what they want to have.

Being tricked and fooled into the MC's schemes and yes, you know he won't have a good ending... (probably).

In my eyes it looks like Oscar is just a kid who's been a part of a crushing power dynamic with his sister since (probably) childhood. idk what happens later in the story, he may end up being an asshole but a lot of victims tend to be, there's a cycle for a reason ya know

I just think a lot of readers underestimate something like familial/domestic abuse when its all mental, and as we've seen in oscar's case here, is sometimes physically violent. Esp. when the victim/character in question is male or older(mentally/physically). just give some of these characters a break in that regard lol

Remember kids, abuse isn't only physical. It can also be mental. Which is actually a much more common way women abuse men.

So I went for the novel after falling in love with the manga. Both story and art were so promising that I could excuse the almost machine translation of the novel. But the further I read into the story the more I realized that after certain points of the plot the characters stopped developing and just became .... static.
Our female lead managed to empower herself trough her knowledge of the future and intuition and most of the character evolution is seen in her and no one else. (If you believe a 14yr old was able to amass a huge amount of money in a casino and further invest it in. All the story happens before she is legal age...)
The prince was created for the solo purpose of loving her and further helping her on her plans, never once does he stray from the path of love fool starry eyed prince charming, so much so, he feels like a clutch more than a male lead for how... dry he is, if you know what I mean. And hey, I'm all for supporting male leads, but this one feels too fake and convenient. If you want to portray someone in love that cherishes your decisions and supports you just look at Hak from Akatsuki no Yona. For me he's one of the best male leads characterized in manga.
The villains might look fearsome at the beginning but, besides 2 wee plots that seem written in a hurry and never double checked, they revel in their superiority and don't do anything to stop their very obvious downfall. And the way they're written just makes them seem plain stupid most of the time, like really mentally inept. The author makes us believe at the start that the princess and Mielle are villainous characters with enough intelligence to plot the downfall of the kingdom and our FL, but in reality they are just 2 spoiled kids (because they really are no older than what 14/15?) that believed the world revolved around them and their childish plots. And where are all the adults in this? Bites me.... What about the king? Don't even get me started...

All in all... I give it a 4/10. It took longer that it should to come to a sort of ending (story was finished in some kind of side stories) and left me feeling empty.
