Man this chapter really makes it clear that the author thinks cheating is the absolute worst thing you can do to someone.

Like yeah cheating is bad but it's not bad enough to completely eclipse attempted murder? Everyone heard him say he'd kill MC and she's got bruises on her neck, shouldn't that be more of a concern??

tbh it kinda shows how garbage their sense of awareness is. like these are the same class of ppl who were willing to traumatise their kids if it meant the kids got a small study boost

also everyone seems to be at a distance so probably couldnt see it before isaac covered her with the coat (also her hair would hide most of it), and i think moudsella is just cheating tunnel blind lol

The partial return of Rosaline!

They didn't hear that part. They only heard from "Ugh… You crazy bi–"

The "[…]before I kill you!" is rarely used to refer to killing someone literally. People usually use "kill" metaphorically — people say "I'll kill you" all the time in that sense. More often, if they actually intend a death threat, it'll be something more along the lines of "I'll slaughter you" (you know, the means/type of killing). I'm guessing that Korean uses it similarly, because people (and the translators didn't leave a note).

So, he's only been revealed as a crude liar and abusive cheater. Not to mention completely shameless.

Also, choking someone doesn't necessitate killing the victim, and the neck is visually kind of small, I doubt most people can tell that it isn't a necklace unless they're fairly close to Mel — only Isaac and the hostess would have noticed in the webtoon's set up of the scene. In the novel people do notice and conclude that Hessman is horribly abusive on top of everything else.

Additionally, the lady saying Hessman deserves to die for the cheating part is portrayed as hating cheaters beyond what is reasonable, due to her ex.

"Why do I feel angry?"
Because your new friend/date just got attacked by her crazy ex! Yeah, I'd be pissed too!
Your brain autocorrected that sentence. What Isaac actually thought was "Why do I feel this angry?" He isn't puzzled about being angry; he's puzzled about the degree of his anger.
