I think the implication is that the cheating still happened, since it sounds like Sharia has changed as well? At least based on how he reacts to her being much more "vicious".

So the timeline is very unclear.

Its a possibility, Sheria drastically change when she is in the holy nation after all. Although, I think she isnt that good of a person too even before she go abroad (and the cheating happen before she go abroad).

Nah, he started to cheat before Sheria geting the water (and a slight character change). Perhaps he'll try to use this excuse later however.
