@TomBrady the truth hurst so much because of how real this is. At least Chihiro had something Interesting albeit underdeveloped progression but nowadays the main girls had almost to none character development compare to the side heroines that just happen to still win cuz the author already decided the winner from the beginning thus doesn't give a damn about giving them the development they needed.

Just finished now and not pretty surprised coz some shit weebs are already spoiling me

Tbh I'm disappointed with the ending, the other heroines more deserve than chihiro (damn tenri or ayumi or even shiori would better tho)

I think, most of harem romcom manga are using this series as reference to make an ending twist

Here after watching the anime.
So by the end of the story the MC is the same insufferable autistic who can't quit for a minute watching at his fucking portable console.
That's disappointing.

100% the way it should have ended, from the romance perspective. I disagree that this was a "twist" ending like many people think, as it was being foreshadowed from VERY early in the story. Chihiro is the only one that liked him for his natural characteristics, she admitted to this much earlier in the manga (that she had been in love with him even before Elsie showed up).

This last story arc was a mess though, hard to get through. Not very interesting. It got too far away from its romcom characteristics which is what drew people in - I'm not surprised that they didn't bother adapting the last arc into an anime. Wakaki also could have done a lot more with Elsie. He really screwed her over a lot by basically ignoring her for the entire manga (he even makes self-referencing jokes about it) then barely coloring in her backstory at all in just the last couple of chapters - but at least he gave her a cute ending with her wish-fulfillment about having a real family, so good I guess? Seems like he just got tired of drawing this manga and wanted to move on.

Still, Chihiro was objectively best girl and I will fight anyone who disagrees. It's rare for best girl to "win" in romcoms, it's usually some shitty cardboard personality character that appeals to the worst aspects of the JP fanbase (sorry but "painfully shy childhood friend" is one of those).

I also disagree that MC didn't grow at all - it just wasn't presented well. His growth is shown mostly through his relationship with Chihiro and his regret in how he dealt with her (she was the only girl that he experienced any regret over, and it was shown from very early on that she was the only girl that could ever get under his skin and make him depressed). He goes back to her because he realizes that a real relationship (one not based on forced affection, like the others were) has meaning in the "real", as he calls it.

I personally support Ayumi, but well.. author want this ending so I won't complain. But if I have a talent for drawing, maybe I'll make an alternate ending about heroine I like, I think it's better that way than complain about something that can't be changed.

#FYI that just my opinion

Hippity hoppity that MC has a full fledged harem yet he still hasn't lost his virginity
Oh, I was talking about those thousands of girls he captured from the thousands of dating simulators he has

A bit disappointed with Chihiro honestly. She's not in even my top 5, but if that's what the author likes..

After all these years I decided to finish this once and for all. I don't regret it, makes me feel empty inside though. The ending could've been more conclusive but it wasn't bad either.

Not some people get is that Keima fell in love with Chihiro is because she's "Real". All of the Goddess and other targets fell in love with Keima because of the act he put on for them,. An act he learned from the games he played, a work of fiction. Chihiro fell in love with Keima even before he put on any masks. Chihiro was the only one with normal attributes, she wasn't a famous idol, nor the daughter of a wealthy family. She had a normal personality, background, appearance, and she fell in love in a normal way not because Keima put on an act of a game character. Keima chose someone who saw through his façade of game protagonists and loved the REAL him.

Was this the ending everyone wanted? nope. Was this the ending Keima wanted? Abso-fucking-lutely.
I think it was conclusive, even if it was rushed. And some of you think Chihiro is the least developed heroine?? What?

tbh im more annoyed of the time travel arc and how drawn out it was.
Best ending for Elsie? HECK YEA, Highlight of the entire manga. Still couldve done more to develop her character and story
Best ending to be Keima & Chihiro? It definetly makes sense. But I'm still not persuaded. Idk, ending was alright but not as conclusive as I expected it to be. I think it was because the story telling in latter part of the manga wass quite vague and convoluted. I often find myself reading the chapters multiple times.

Conclusion: alright, butcould be better? elsie best gurl

Keima x Chihiro is the best ending imo, since she's the someone whose been in love with the otomega geek since since the beginning without him trying, even tenri was someone he made fall in love with him to reach his goal. Every other girl, even my favorite Yui, fell in love because he maneuvered around them, they love the "real" Keima who is an otome obsessed loser who managed to win their hearts, but not the REAL Otomega who is disinterested in anything real and just wanted to play games all day. It was obvious this was coming as soon as she confessed and said she'd loved him since before Elsie showed up, and still loves him even without remembering when he "conquered" her. Thats why he was so broken up after the dance festival when he had to turn her down because he had to capture Ayami.

Elsie being a real part of the family is my best take away from this series!! The chihiro ending is what I guess already but seeing Tenri like that ahhh I just can't. I finally see the ending of the magnificent journey of the God of Conquest and I will never forget it!! One of the most memorable and enjoyable MC i know, respect to the Keima Katsuragi!!!
