I could’ve sworn there were conditions to run into an extra class boss in dungeons but I guess it’s normal.

like mc said, these dudes are the top 1% in the world And he’s an upstart from nowhere. He’s got no reputation so they have no reason to think he’ll be anything more than a burden who will get on their way and possibly threaten their lives by doing so.

Sure, he has no public reputation, but he was scouted by THE S-ranker and the Guildmaster. That would surely make them think maybe there is something more to the MC.

There are. They met said conditions for this particular boss. Since the manga seems to be following the LN pretty faithfully, we will learn those conditions shortly after this boss fight is over.

i like this series more than the series with MC with skill auto moving, auto battle. The MC of this series at least have the ball to kill his enemies, unlike the other MC

With that much vanguard, why would they put rearguard and a guest in the back? I know that might sounds normal, but "vanguard" and "rearguard" are battle formation term. While exploring, you'd want to put at least one vanguard in the back to hold off an ambush.

Also, why would they thought it is better to face a much larger number of enemies in a big room, rather than in hallway? In the hallway, you can just face a few at times. In a big room, you'd be quickly surrounded Battle of the Black Gate style.

But exactly because they're supposed to be the cream of the crop, they should've handled it more professionally and at least tried to do a basic evaluation of his capabilities in the upper floors, while they still had some leeway to save him if needed.

This was just bog-standard lazy writing to make MC look cool.

.... Since when has this series been "wasting 50 billion chapters"? This has only been two chapters and we've had a lot of character development happening here, and that was particularly thanks to this party's healer, Shinonome. But I guess that's not good enough for you because you seem to feel that it's gotta be the MC waving a big dick around, all day every day.

You see, that's not the composition for a good story. Because a good story allows other characters to have their own traits and qualities show. And for that to happen, that means that the MC can't be hogging all the limelight to themselves.

And I really, really dislike it when people like you get like this. It's like you're that kid from the movie, The Princess Bride, where he interrupts his grandpa telling the story every time the "kissy stuff" pops up. Except where that's actually funny because it's part of the story, this is just plain annoying.

I'm not saying that you have to like the story. But if you're gonna critique and complain, then have an actually good reason that is an actual reason, and not just some ill-perceived idea based on a warped perspective.

It's because they weren't simply ambushed from the rear. This was a two-pronged assault where they were instantly flanked by the enemy. In which case, the better solution actually is to GTFO.

Granted, once they were in that passageway, they should have planted their feet and stood their ground.

What I like about this, though, was that the MC was feeling his inner Sun Tzu speaking to him. That being Sun Tzu's saying about giving your enemy a golden path to use to escape, because an enemy is at their most dangerous when they're cornered with no way out. Except instead of an escape, it was all a trap, which is also a Sun Tzu tenet: that things like deception and speed are at the heart of all warfare.

Pretty sure it showed us that boss rooms can't be opened from the outside while a party is engaged with the boss.

Had a random thought while reading: I wonder if the cool down is originally part of the dungeon system, or if it is something a third party managed to implement while the dungeons were installing themselves in order to nerf this world.
