I didn't like that the villain called himself Kamen Rider 00, especially since this story is a tribute to the original production. In my opinion, when the original Hongo calls himself KR, this becomes his "cry of independence" against the Shocker, making it clear that he will not be the puppet and will oppose the organization's point of view. When the final villain of the film claims that he is also a KR, it rings hollow, since he is still following a twisted path.

It's a tribute to Ishinomori Shotaro and producer Tohru Hirayama's original concept about the "prototype" kamen rider, who got killed or disappeared during Dai-Shocker destruction (he was a failed experiment and was putting in the hybernation, or seemingly disposed before the series according to some sources)

You're referring to Kamen Rider Gaia, from the novel "Kamen Rider Eve -Masked Rider Gaia-", correct? Personally, I would prefer the only reference there to be to Inazuman, in the character's aesthetic.
