I hope Graham will be a better man by either having the dignity to tell her its over (instead of you know forgetting her completely like that last guys) or come back to her with love in his heart for her. but honestly I want to read more stories about people moving on from heart break and finding love again, I think they are just as important stories as falling in love for the first time.

If the purpose of marrying the princess is to keep him in the country, then the same thing can be accomplished by marrying MC since she's a citizen of the country and lives there. Plus even if he did have to marry the princess or someone else for some contrived political reason, then he could have at lease sent a messenger to MC, so the past heroes are still dicks.

But then it just occurred to me that maybe the other women hired a "messenger" to tell the heroes that MC was already married or dead, in order to get him to marry them instead.

Yeah no, I don't buy it. If the past Heroes weren't being deceived somehow, then they still made an active decision to cut her out of their lives without warning.

Louisa seems to have made better friends in this life than before though. I have a feeling she'll be fine even if she gets dumped. If anything, they'd treat the Hero with disdain if they hear about their former relationship.

i mean unless if he actually didnt like her then she shoulda just left him in the dirt
she has 3 lifetimes worth of experience this should be a cake walk like your 3rd play through on survival games its practically doable with your eyes closed

oh. i also never thought of it that way. that politics also factors into "falling in love" and "marrying". interesting.

there are also other plausible reasons for why the hero abandoned her. the mc doesn't always have to be the "best" or the most desirable. sometimes they're not even right for each other. or maybe it's like being stuck with a very thin blanket in the winter but switching to a very warm and cozy blanket and never wanting to go back to the thin one. maybe it's like that, that the hero has left her. people fall in love all the time and feelings change. our mc isn't bad. she's pretty interesting, but maybe i'd fall in love with someone else if i was the hero. maybe.

Even if he married the princess in her second life for those political reasons and couldn't bear to see his love again because, well, he loved her, he still should have gone and told her what he had done - she was waiting for him, after all! She waited for fifty years with little news of him, until by chance some merchants came through, and - ta-da! - he was married! What BS.

Well, princess, I can see how politics can work into this but how would really help? You would have the same authority as you would've even if you didn't marry him, and what would the public's view be if they find out he was forced to marry you? And does he even have the skills to become king? last time I checked he was a commoner, you may put the country before everything else but what changes if you marry the hero? I don't see what kind of change it would have unless the people of your country force you to marry a random person just because he saved like the entire world, what about the others that helped, the mage, the knight, and the priestess, he didn't do it all by himself, and what about his feelings? he's a human being, he's not just a tool you can use. It's like pulling a kittens tail just because everyone wants you too, it doesn't benefit in any way, except empty entertainment.
