Kinda seems ridiculous how much she was made to suffer in the process of being "protected", but considering the lives before she got abandoned by past lovers was traumatic, I guess it's still a marked improvement.

That's the tricky thing about the world being in danger. The stakes are so high that, somehow, somewhere, there's something you should love enough for it to be worth saving as a package deal.

this case similar to setting that higher being can't interfere with a world too much or they would make it destroyed instead of save it, that end up with her giving power to a human to use it instead but one human has their own limit to how much power they could contain by themself.

What Ranzo said. The Author tries to make the whole deal, how she got screwed over and over again, plausible, but it doesn't make sense. Why didn't they pull her into fight against the demon lord? Why did the goddess seal her memories of the first hero? This reeks of the goddess screwing up and the demonlord sucking up power to beat the crap out of her instead of destroying the world.

... I still like and empathize with the Demon Lord more than any of these "Holy" people. The Goddess and church want to get rid of the Demon Lord, while trying to keep the current Jun away from him. For what reason are they keeping her away from him? As well as, why does the Demon Lord want Jun's reincarnation? Is it so that he can keep her with him for eternity, or for a sinister and nefarious purpose, such as trying to gain her Jun's whole power? So many questions to ask and so little clarification given by these church folks and the Goddess that it just makes them reek of suspicion to me... I shall read on!
