How was she protect?? And she even blame herself for all of it because she couldn't fight the demon lord herself? I hope no one take this as a good life lesson...
The part about the feelings of attraction and love due to 2 people originated from the same soul reminds me of the lyrics to "Origin of Love" from Hedwig and The Angry Inch, which is based on a story given by Aristophanes in Plato's Symposium.
@Aryfl they surely protect her though, as you can see none of her reincarnation die by natural disaster. They all die by human scheme.
In first place this human(King) fault, asking Goddess to clean up their problem, instead protect someone that goddess sent(she surely chosen for some reason like the quality of her soul etc) they betrayed her. If i am goddess i probaly abonden human by now.
"There something about hero that goddess didn't know about" resonance vessel of demon king and hero probally at the level where they can exchange thought and emotion.
You...should probably sort out your feelings before the final battle, but okay.
Yeah, Graham isn't going to give his lover up that easily. I wonder if the Heroes have the same soul though? Because it sounds like the Demon Lord has absorbed the souls of all the previous Heroes, which...I mean, that's gonna make meeting them all kinda awkward.
@Liquidxlax well it had a story to tell, and a fairly clean cut story too. I think we are just use to things being dragged out forever and just got use to it. aspects feel rushed, but that's more because the journey to the demon lord got cut short by him coming to you.
@Liquidxlax Definitely feels rushed. Current plot is literally driven by direct exposition, through verbal explanation by a randomly introduced character. In earlier chapters the author took care to do it indirectly and in bits and pieces, unlike now.
I wish I could have seen a bit more on her past lives though, and how her own destiny was hinted at throughout her interactions with the past heroes. Any hints of the goddess's protection (or rather, what the heck the goddess was doing all this time...), the Demon King's gradual approach throughout her reincarnations via the heroes' connections, or just more of her own personal realizations before she had her memories sealed would have been nice to see. It makes me curious... is she still Jun? Or does she just happen to have Jun's soul while still being her own person? She seems to be the latter, but then flat out tells Graham otherwise in this chapter. It's all just so interesting... but I was a little disappointed to see it wrapped up so quickly to move on to the demon subjugation. We didn't even get to see what sort of character or relationship developments she had right after the unsealing of her memories, just "many days have passed since I retrieved my past lives' memories". Like what? It just jumped so quickly to the next plot without even revealing any of her holy training they kept mentioning.
But anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the Demon King finally make his real appearance soon, and whatever Graham was hinting at this chapter. Thanks for the chapter, as always!
I believe, Graham has been Marcus in disguise from the beginning and her best friend from her village is also an operative of DL Marcus. Either that or Graham stroke a deal with Marcus to be absorbed with the rest of the former Heros and become one entity, that stays by Jun's side forever.
Also: To protect her directly. Wtf? Which protection? The goddess is reeeeally bad at this.
Thank you for the update <3
I'm looking forward to the confrontation of Marcus. But is the hero and the Demon king gonna be the same person? How are they connected?
i get that the author wants the noble girl and priestess to be tsundere, just to have that complete set of typical mold of characters, but they're both just coming up as 'ingenuine' throughout the story.
the goddess + isekai people fucked up, badly, so they're still basically saying "here's my mess, now you clean up" to the mc?
if all the heroes/vessels are just fragments of herself,
then he's a part/echo of her
. so basically we're having that "♪ why do I do this to myself ♪" moment here (which is totally skipped).
but that also means all the bitches who 'fall in love' with heroes/vessels essentially just
thirsty for mc
too, despite how they treat her.
but that also means the "demon king" is just all the concentrated hatred for all the misery these isekai people have burdened on her throughout all of her 6-7 lives really. that part does come to a full circle.
and by extension the hero/vessel is a reflection of 'love yourself', in some way?
though the reflections might not also apply essentially.
at least that's all I see it from read this manga/chapter.
