I mean, she literally built the family back up from debt. A zero would be easier than debt.

Also, I love the aggressive clack of her shoes when she walks and the fact that it was used as bookends for the chapter. It was our introduction to her as a character and really speaks volumes about her personality.

I sorta feel like a difficult choice was made between the ending we got (which wraps up the story in a way that's satisfying and calls back to the beginning and ends on MC and ML's relationship) and an ending/epilogue that shows her dealing with her stupid family.

I think this ending was the right choice because it's a lot cleaner? Ending with the focus on the characters we've actually met is cleaner focusing on characters we've barely/never seen.

Also leaves the door open if it ever gets serialized. Like that's easily one chapter, possibly a multi chapter arc or reccuring character's worth of material.

Interesting to see people saying MC isn't a real villainess, feel like there's at least 3 working definitions of what a villainess actually is:

1. Standard innocent shoujo heroine who's at least nominally a noble and gets her engagement broken off (definition most of these chapters use)
2. Noble girl who is actually conniving/evil
3. (Mine) Bad bitch with drill hair: a noble girl who actually looks and has the attitude of a shoujo antagonist

In my book MC definitely counts as a villainess. I saw her character portrait and was like, "finally."

Oh I really like this one. Hopefully they can be honest with each other sooner rather than later though they seem like a really cute and sweet pair of they're allowed to relax.

Really feel bad for the FL doing effectively child labour for her entire life and then her parents who SHOULDVE BEEN DOING THE JOB THEMSELVES basically being like yeah okay so we'll replace you so you should get married even though you sacrificed your childhood, happiness, friendships and reputation for us! Like??? Can you maybe REPAY HER IN SOME WAY FIRST?

That aspect just leaves a bitter after taste even if she says she's okay with it.

Also ml's friends are good guys I'm glad they have them. c:

Then the parents had a boy and the father, pretty rudely, tells her that she's no longer needed as the heir and he gets beaten up by the older sisters. In this case, the FL always wanted to find a fiance and the brother is a sweetheart so the whole thing doesn't hurt her too badly.

Ha, not only a fresher use of villainess, but specifically of the "sharp tongue" type of villainess.

Though if your personality becomes twisted hanging out with someone, I feel like that's by definition a toxic person.

Also, is it just me, or does she have a "thicker" than usual design? Still manga levels of curvy and beauty, but like...something about her looks kept standing out to me.
