Worst/skip em chapters:
1: haha I've been emotionally cheating on you as a rise. I've been leading on the Heroine to manipulate you into telling me you love me fuck this prince

3: prince just wants to see Villainess embarrassed because he's an unironic sadist. Not my taste.

5: this one's bad because it doesn't seem to get why these stories are fun and exciting? The Heroine is evil, the Villainess is the victim, her love confession is half-assed. There's no real resolution. Forgettable.

10: cool idea, weird execution, I don't think this writer was the right choice for this story. She pretends to commit suicide in front of her fiance and idk what this story was going for but it didn't achieve it. The overall tone of this is too light and not edgy enough for a tale that ends in a man covered in the bloody chunks of his fiancee.

Okay chapters
Ch 11: I like the concept of calling out these pea brain princes with 1 dimensional ideas of justice, but this didn't do enough and cuts before the good part

Ch 2: this is better than okay, but it would have been better as a longer story, there's just too much the writer wants to say for a short one shot. I love when girls support each other, I love sister stories, and I love uncertain endings

Ch 4: Fun unusual couple, sexy revenge on prince/heroine. How come male concubines don't come up in these stories more? Something to think about ladies 🤔
Ch 6 - Cute female-led relationship, tsun..tear-e? male, this is SO cute, even though he's been a pest to the FL I love MLs like this one. Best couple.
Ch 7 - GO OFF TIA THIS IS WHY I READ THIS GENRE IMAGINE DROPPING A PRINCE AND UPGRADING TO AN EMPEROR THE NEXT DAY. Ahem. This is also one of the few times I enjoyed a gross abuse of royal power. There's a very subtle implication that Tia reincarnated as the Villainess, which was a nice choice. I'm saddened this wasn't longer.
Ch 8 - Intelligent female lead gets revenge on prince/heroine, the art dragged me by the hair into a 2006 era hot topic blasting MCR and Fallout Boy. Good revenge, good aesthetics, and the only thing I like more than historical realistic fashion is fashion where the artist says who's history? I'm trying to draw cool clothes. The king will wear big dangly earrings and you WILL like it. I did.
Ch 9 - Intelligent female side character orchestrates prince's downfall, which he deserves entirely. Heroine survives because she's sick of his shit too. There are so many satisfying prince dunkings in this, it's the best. I've reread these chapters an absurd amount.

This book is good, but like everyone else said, ignore the first chapter. This is an anthology series, you don't need to waste your time on trash that'll turn you off, when the rest of the stories are actually good.

The first chapter has the stupid 'he was just testing her love for him' plot twist, like that isn't already established as a red flag in a guy. No happy ending was gained there, she just sold herself to a manipulative scumbag who would harm the one he 'loves' for his own benefit, instead of just having an honest conversation with her.

And the reason for multiple links - some syosetu stories have sequels (so I've included sequels, this includes the delightful sequel to "The Tale of the Noble Girl who will go to a Monastery after her Engagement Annulment" -

They don't go to a monastery, instead the daughter gets a job as a famous author in neighboring country and... lol
