I don't think they are a couple, the way he cares for the egg boy seems like an older relative, at first i thought about father but i am not sure anymore, an uncle or older cousin fits him more now.

So is this Japanese or Korean? The first page is Japanese but the cover page has Korean on it. ?

I'm pretty sure the artist him/herself is Japanese judging from their Twitter (https://twitter.com/kkanaria17), but that I can't confirm
