The Japanese have their own standards of acceptability, and you probably couldn't get away with this in company outside of the Twitter subculture where this guy posts his stuff, but I'm inclined to believe that the Japanese are less hypocritically sanctimonious about their media.

Like, they're probably not going to praise horror movies with mutilated children but also call a 2D girl being depicted as having her panties exposed an example of outright pedophilia, because they seem to have a better grasp of it all being fiction and not having a 1:1 reality equivalency.

Coincidence. I mean at that point anything kinda becomes the same, but 弩 is read do. If you have watched your fair share of anime, you should have heard things like "do m", "do s". The "do ero" thing is the same and has nothing to do with english.
