Weeeell, Ika Musume's summer
did eventually end. After 9 years and 22 volumes, the last chapter declares that the beach house is closing that day and that it's only open for the summer.

Having said that, while back I actually went through the entire series and counted every single day that would have reasonably passed (Every time they opened the restaurant, every time there way a day transition in a chapter, etc.)... there are far more days than in an actual summer.

welp it seems this won't had the phineas and ferb/Ika musume syndrome... lets see if the author time skips into the next summer vacation or give us a school arc with an ice maiden/dullahan hybrid

The Ika Musume general timeline isn't really a spoiler I'd say, but yes. Timey Wimey, Wibbly Wobbly was a basic impression I got from how time was elapsing in that series. The author's newer work, I haven't really been paying attention to the passage of time at all yet but I think it might end up feeling sort of similar if it goes on anywhere near as long as Ika Musume did. Seitokai Yakuindomo is another example of time passing however it needs to at any particular moment so the cast can remain with each other or have new members introduced for as long as the author requires (and I'm pretty okay with that lasting for the foreseeable future too).

It isn't really a spoiler, but since it is actually a plot point (...Sort of. More like a gag.) that occurs at the very end, better safe than sorry; some people are very prickly about what could possibly be considered a spoiler. Though the author does makes jokes in some of the volume notes about how the series really is just about going with the flow in an endless summer, so the timelessness is intentional, to a degree.

True with SY... if I ever go back and reread all of it, I should keep track of the holidays (and other similar events).

Though I don't think you can get much more slipshod with time than Detective Conan, especially considering that it takes place in a realistic world that utilizes technological developments. That thing's been going on for 25 years.

I’m not going to lie. Everyone was selfish here.

There are things you just can’t do and have to mature.

The Aunt was correct in keeping their roots safe. The brother was selfish for not listening to her.

But the main girl just can’t take her to school.

Well I guess it’s a manga so logic doesn’t always work I guess
