I don't understand the meaning of hugging someone like that and start crying over what? A debate? Maybe i'm too cold about it, but my pov understood that is just something not that deep and the council debate is just like any other i've seen in many mangas or animes.

Wait… Was this in the anime? I don’t remember seeing this…
It was not, manga so far adapted some things from LN that were missed in anime.
First was with that drunk salaryman when Kuze was following Alya home.
Second was the entire chocolate competition in student council room.

How wasn't that in the anime? I remembered it felt really weird at the time because it felt like she did nothing after that realisation.

Its crazier to know the fact that Kuze also needed that hug, especially when he was basically neglected by his mother. This wasn't like a heartwarming or that typical joke of a hug. This was a needed one, for both.

Wahhh, it was the perfect moment to get rid of the language hook! Something like responding with "I won't" would've made this peak squared!!

Nah man the anime did the source material dirty by not including this, assuming it was in the LN.
Manga as a whole is just so much better, Alya looks unreal while in the anime she just looks cute. I feel like a manga adaption of LN will always be be better since they don't have to rush things to get to the ending
