i forgot a lot of stuff since its been a while since i've read the novel, yes masachika was supposed to inherit the family, and he's a child prodigy and stuff (he is actually really genius) but he doesn't want to. lot of stuff happens and he leave that house, and iirc masachika felt guilty for leaving it all on yuki

They lived together when young around the same time they met Alya. Their parents divorced, and I think it's Yuki's dad remarried, and mc mom changed from her married name back to her maiden name. So mc's last name changed to his mother's maiden name.
Ps this information from past chapters mc monologues about it. Why did dev put a spoiler on this????????? It's information that everyone should have known already.
