Just finished this series for the first time, and, just wow. While OG Tokyo ghoul was better, kaneki’s development and the new characters like urie just made RE amazing. Furuta’s character was also super interesting to me, seeing how his actions were done not for some big reason but completely for himself. I think the ending was beautiful.

This was pretty interesting. I didn’t bother to keep track of some of the characters since they would get shat on every chapter and I never read slowly enough to fully grasp the themes

Re read after a few years, it truly is no wonder I didn’t remember shit anything from RE:, it truly was a mess, a fun mess, a cluttered one, a very confusing one, but a fun one.
Good read

Maybe I'm just bad at recognizing faults in writing or something, judging by all the other comments here, but I really liked this :re. I do agree with everyone saying that there were too many names, I just got really confused at the last few volumes.
people will always find reasons to hate. You liking the manga is one of the strongest reasons to like the manga

I feel like I've lost some friends as I finished it :(
It was messy, yes, but the kind of mess you'll get totally immersed in. I was expecting a lot more of RE btw, but I'm satisfied with the ending albeit it was rushed. They deserve peace after all what happened

The people dissing on the manga saying it's messy really hurts me 🥲 Yes it was messy, but a beautiful kind of messy. I enjoyed reading this as I found the characters, such as Mutsuki and Furuta, pretty interesting. I also loved Kaneki's development. He suffered and sacrificed a lot, so I really think he deserves this ending. But actually, I might agree with the idea of him dying heroically. The story and plot are great, and I think they explain a lot about society. I LOVED Kaneki's quotes too. He is indeed one of the best main characters oat.

Proud to say that it's one of my favorite mangas, don't care if some people say it's bad even tho it stings me a little 💔

Other stuff:
  • Where is Amon and Akira?????😭😭
  • We need a Yoriko and Touka feature.....

While I quite liked the first series and the first 70-80 chapters of this, I can't lie that it did drop off towards the end. Also thought the overall plot was pretty messy and convoluted, especially as more and more characters got introduced.

That being said, the art is absolutely fantastic and I was satisfied that Kaneki got a happy ending. 7/10.

Tokyo ghoul was the first anime I watched when I was about 11 or 13 can't remember. I'm going to say this I loved this was in the greatest piece of written media I've ever read no but they give me the closure I wanted for Kanki no but also yes. Yeah they're were ass pulls and sometimes the writing didn't make sense but there was heart I could feel it. It's honestly beautiful I'm happy that everyone that I cared about got a happy ending you don't see that a lot of the time. I wish a couple people stayed dead it would have made the story a bit more impactful and I wish a couple people had come back to life however I enjoyed the story. Kaneki said that if he was the protagonist that his story would be a tragedy and it was at least in the first part of Tokyo ghoul but he was given a second chance to make things right and even though how we got to this point was a bit of a mess in some parts I still think he prove himself wrong.
