Storytime:
'Went ice-skating with a bunch of friends once, and since I had a bit easier time skating than they did, some of them just latched on to me and essentially had me hold their hands.
Let me tell you, even if I was dating any of them, that wouldn't have been any less annoying. When someone holds on to you, and refuses to let go, they just don't want to learn how to handle themselves anymore. They just want you to get them through this experience, and it's a bit of a downer to spend your limited time on the ring with someone who essentially has given up.
That being said, when I asked one of the staff members "what do I even with this thing", he basically told me:
"When I tried to teach my girlfriend how to skate, it took me about a week. And I never let her hold on to me, I'd always dodge out of the way whenever she'd try to lean on to me. In fact, the exact opposite has happened. I leaned on to her, I grabbed on to her clothes and let her carry me. If you want someone to learn something, you can't have them grab on to you like that."
I felt like that was a good tip and wanted to share it. And now that I think about it, it is also immensely befitting for Jun and Tomo to behave this way as well... :v
