Aye, it's pretty obvious Shibe isn't guilty, or at least I believe in him.

First, the housekeeper detests the Shibe family. Justified, but this means a bias view.

Second, anything could've happened in the room with Shibe and Shiho. You can't say it's assault. It could be anything else.

Third, Shibe isn't the guy to care about money more than love. Evidence from the past chapters where he voluntarily tried to pay back the class's debt. He's also known to openly declare his love for Shiho, even going in for a kiss.

Lastly, it was stated he spent lots of money on something. But that something doesn't necessarily have to be something shady. As someone stated down in the comments. It's possible Shiho gave the money to his mother he dearly loves.

im all for believing victims of assault first-- but something about this is....fishy. the fact that the housekeeper said that shibe cares more about money then love is absurd, since he literally volunteered to be tribute to to the secret portion of the kageguchi game, and also stayed believing shiho even after he got screwed over by her that same chapter.

Guys, you are forgetting the main point here. If Shiho wanted, she woudn't even let Shibe anywhere close to her because she knows self defense. Dude would get sommersaulted from the window, but Shiho obviously let Shibe play the rapist (which girls are very good at doing), and now the dude is in trouble. I am not defending both sides, because I hate both of them. It's just that Shiho is a LOT more suspicious because of her dialogue and actions. She could have dodged and went out the door if she knew about Shibe's mental state. But no, she didn't, Shibe assaulted her (..?), she is also misssing right now, and her father is involved in the Game. She was involved (..?) in the murder of Tenji's Father, and had enough manipulative personality at the start of the game to fool Yuuichi with her fake confession.
