Oh, I though I was making yet another JoJo reference; but it turns out I was just stupid. The real reference sounds like 「ゴゴゴ」 and is commonly translated as "menacing".

@delfigamer After ruminating about it a bit more, I think it's neither any rumbling noise nor heart beat. It's much more likely that it's a background sound meant to instill a sense of anger. Regardless I think the pictures alone give a sense of what's happening.
