I need to understand why Rom-com MCs have to be at the literal bottom of the hierarchy. Can't they make them atleast Average? How am I supposed to find a character likeable who doesn't even like himself? If they hate themselves so much, why not put even a least bit of effort? But at the very least he doesn't seem like the NPC kind so that's fine. Hope we some kind of character development on his part.

I think it's for relatability to jp community, which would be a manga main audience. Having at the bottom they can relate and more easily self insert, oddly that also why a lot are beta male afraid of getting kissed

I like they made a romcom with thighs as theme as I'm a huge fan of nice plump thighs. I just wish, if they were going for thighs, that the art had been at least as good as in The Fearsome Witch Teaches in Another World, another series with great thighs..

How is that relatable when they're literally considered outcast? Outcasts can't be in majority. That sounds contradictory. You're telling me the general audience are people without any noticeable trait and nothing going on for them? It's always specified in the manga how most of their classmates are getting along just fine with MC being the exceptional loner of the class. I think someone who's totally average with minor inferiority complex would work just fine.
