Tbh... it seems like a big step from Yuuto. But if tomorrow were winter break im 100% he would again fail to even call her. If he used half of the effort to daydream or worry and direct that effort to act, things would had easily progress lot more.
Also, Kotori reaction is just as obvious. But they only meet at school or at the store sometimes and mostly talk about others or otaku stuff. She made clear she wants to know him better a long time ago... he havent done anything about it.
