Actually, whether you get pinged or not depends on the bell to the right of the drop down! Selecting “dropped” automatically de-selects the bell.

Yeah I’m aware, it should play a little animation too. 70% of the time that is not happening for me. I’ve switched others to dropped and it still happens, so selecting none is a better option, seeing as it never seems to have that happen.

If one doesn't want to get the undeads poison splashed on during CQC, I'd recommend to wear the suit and sweat instead of smelling like a corpse and having those lovely corpse bacterias all over oneself.

I've seen this guy work in a literal tank of decomposing shit in regular clothes because he thought a hazmat suit is too annoying. At a certain point, many become so used to or desensitized to some stuff you don't give a shit about it anymore. And, you know, "PPE is for pussies".
