The MC is not a hero. This is not a battle isekai but a cooking manga. As long as there is delicious food, I don't care. And the MC is realistic as you can't expect a normal modern society person to become fearless battle hungry warrior.

@lolmaolol lol I think you should just drop this manga because he is not your typical OP hack and slash main, he's a normal office worker who got transported to another world, his cooking is also not super great like Nobunaga chef or something =))))
Why bother continue reading just to complain every single chapter about how weak he is? And honestly his reaction is the reaction typical people would have (another isekai I can think of which detail a person's fear of battle would Grimgar), the one not being afraid at all is the ones who are weird (unless they are Ainz, then it's the skills that suppress his emotions) , not our main.

Personally I like it. It is a nice change from the the OP isekai MCs, nothing wrong with them. I just like reading something a little different sometimes. There is a realness to this MC as a modern day office worker won't suddenly be amazing at swords, or (possibly) have the muscles to actually swing one.
