I have to admit that FF7 is probably the only game I didn't play (for longer than first 2 hours or so at least) and yet I know such important "twists" due to the sheer amount of spoilers/"parodies" etc on the Internet.

Dragon quest seven, on the other hand, is a whole other beast, it takes literal hours before the first battle. Remake lets you move faster so it is a lot quicker to jump through the tens of hoops.
