Harmless yandere is a thing, you know.

Concerning the "Harmless yandere" descriptor, I had made a post with a similar idea in a later chapter. I explained that even though I believe that Rui is definitely a yandere archetype, the circumstances involving her and BF's relationship, her family's positive support, the lack of any likely female rivals, and the fact that BF is completely and totally committed to Rui herself essentially all work to dramatically reduce the chances of the negative aspects of her yandere personality from ever actually manifesting. Thanks for the link to that character description--I didn't know there was a proper designation for it!

Your description would definitely count as a functionally harmless yandere, in that circumstances have induced this harmlessness. But I personally believe that she's an innately harmless yandere, which is the more typical depiction of the character type AFAIK; even if you present her with a female rival, I imagine the "worst" she'd do is to flaunt every advantage she has (e.g. if the rival has small boobs, she'll relentlessly mock her with the fact that she has huge ones, in ways that don't come across as openly rude/hostile), be unusually lovey-dovey with her boyfriend in public and in private, make a show of "accidentally" forgetting a bit of cum on the corner of her mouth after blowing her BF in the WC, at most stealth-masturbate him in public with only the rival knowing what she's doing but being too embarrassed to expose or interrupt the act.
