Alright hard rambly prediction. In the first chapter, when Hana first met Yoichi she remarked how polite he was, and that "Only the face must match." And in the second chapter, her snack bar friend also remarked how she had recognized his face as well. I'm theorizing that she must know his dad and his mom from their schooldays. When talking to his mom, she was oddly familiar and mentioned "going in uniform." Which we know that Hana doesn't actually have a work uniform because she wears casual clothes, so they must be referring to their old school uniform. Furthermore, it's implied in this chapter that the tongue piercing is in fact a gift from someone she loved because she ended up washing it as well like that lady's ring..and one that I think she was intentionally showing off in that picture that got him to come to the share house in the first place.

Prediction: Yoichi's dad, Hana, the snack bar lady, and maybe his mom were all delinquents in school that hung out together and Hana had a crush on Yoichi's dad. His dad ended up giving her that piercing as a gift back then, and she still cherishes it to this day.
