Honestly I loved that hug. One of my big complaints about Japanese media is that there isn't enough hugging or kissing. So seeing multiple panels of the characters expressing their feelings was great!

How is that only the second time they kissed! Weren't they making out on the bed before they attempted sex? I'm sure they kissed other times. Is there some context about type of kissing or who intiated it? Only being the second time Karen initiated the kiss I would believe.

One time in the previous chapters she kicked him in the balls. Every time they try to get intimate Karen does something to ruin the moment. So call it what you like but I feel bad for Haru. Hell she’s thrown him across the room. I would be surprised if somehow sleep magic doesn’t help.

Drinking age tends to be at least 18, even for characters allowed to fight in wars, run international businesses, marry and create families, or succeed the crown. But drinking is still strictly only for characters aged to the modern drinking age.

With that said, it's only fiction so not of that really really matters to be honest.

I'm reminded of what Anna said in Epic Battle Fantasy: "I'm a fictional character; I'm whatever age you want me to be." In the same vein, before I've argued that you can't objectify a character, because they're objects to start with, not people.

Precisely. I don't get why you're the only one picking up on it. If correct, that line almost makes the rest of the chapter irrelevant. Unless, as you said, it's a translation oversight.

That being said, if we assume it is a translation mistake, all the fussiness about that two months separation is a bit weird. Tough to endure ? Absolutely. Pretending there's risks of cheating ? Dumb. Haru's been a complete maniac, completely obsessed with her since their initial meeting and went depressive after their first (fake) break-up. And on the other side, Karen's a 30 y.o. virgin…
Plus this isn't your typical pseudo-medieval with a bit of fantasy world. They've got hot showers, light switches for artificial lighting, hologram photos, commoners living in 8 story buildings. Their magic seems almost limitless, pretty much guaranteed they've got long distance voice comm, if not video.
