What freaked Goro is the head still on and the eyes staring at you. Japanese are not really used to that, they like their food to be nicely cleaned and presented. Yes, there are exceptions, especially with fish (like whole salted mackerel), but bird head is not something they normally run into. Otherwise yeah, it's just poulty on a steek.

Yeah, it's really lean and really sparse. You really have to work to get any meat (like I said, total tourist ripoff). And it's well glazed in teriyaki sauce while grilled (at least at Inafuku and I've never had it anywhere else) to get rid of the gaminess, though it's nowhere near as gamey as something like bear. But the glaze isn't really dripping off like a sauce. Worth doing once, never again!

Tama and Akane should be allies as they are the same in many areas.
Zanma-sensei really has a knack for endearing characters, and with Tama and Kogane being friends, I doubt it's the last we'll see of Ukano-okami-sama. Goro matter-of-factly treating Kogane as his wife has me more worried than heartwarmed, though. Goro's emotions, or lack thereof, still strike me as the ticking timebomb hidden in plain sight. The one who bears the brunt of the blast may not be Goro this time, either. It's clear Kogane wants intimacy with him, and if he's not able to give it, it'll hurt Kogane more than a curse backlash. I continue to watch intently as this develops.
"New" fox? Dare I hope Kogane's unnamed friend gets a name? Thanks as always to sarusa and thunmper.
