I didn't want to leave you guys hanging, so here you go a day early! Double length. I hope you can see the lipstick marks on Goro on the last page.

So we got the timeline stuff and I think this is as clear as Goro's ever gotten to 'Yeah we're getting married for sure' (though he still won't propose yet lol, but the pre-proposal is locked in).

I think this is a good send off her old relationship with her ex, and I agree with Goro: you can't go around cursing people willy-nilly when they slight you and it would prove him right about Kogane and would make Goro no better than his former boss using yokai to curse his enemies.

And the ex learning the error of his ways is nice to see rather than doubling down on his beliefs and learning a thing or two, and it rewarded him in the end.

Also we're locked in for the wedding boys and girls time to break out the red rice.

Damn, I did not expect that guy to be kind and caring (or at least repentant) under that rude facade. I guess Goro made him realize.
I think a big part of this manga is 'everyone has a reason they're like that, even if 'that' is a total scumbag'. I think the most non-sympathetic is still Kanasaka. Well, and Goro's ex-boss from the first volume, but he was really just a cut-out villain filling a plot hole.

Poor Kogane. I'm much more behind her cursing the guy knowing he was just playing around with her. But, young scumbags sometimes turn into old men with families, and there is time to let bygones be bygones. As Goro points out, Kogane's apology is for them, not him. They'll be better off putting the business behind them. If the guy doesn't want to play ball and return the gesture, Goro was ready to ley in some "curses" of his own. That, however, is burying the lede for the real meat of the chapter. Of course they have to do the whole "promise of the promise thing", but they know, we know, we all know that mission Fox Wedding is a go. No to see what steps in and ruins the plans. Thanks as always to sarusa and Thumper.

Wait, why wasn't she punished for cursing the guy? Her village seriously considered punishing her for doing the same to an actual murderer that had supernatural help to boot, but not a random guy who played her? The way this fox society works is all over the place.

It's been so long I can't recall: Did she actually curse the guy? It was such a big deal when she cursed the guy from Goro's workplace, but they just sort of brush over this event that I figured that she didn't literally curse him, just got angry because it turned out he was a scumbag.
