Yeah i wasnt expecting the straight up "he gon die" but if you consider the position fox spciety had it makes sense they have to be more severe than human society.

The foxes are more traditional in many ways so I can see their punishments would also be more traditional. We have often executed murderers in the past, life in jail is a modern invention.

Specially since a couple bad actors can cripple their entire society so they REALLY need to filter out the criminally minded. I dont think fox society would survive if humans find them too annoying and go on a hunt.

There is also the small matter of masquerade violations and, oh yes, attempted murder. Which I believe even human Japan still executes people for.

As a reminder, they do not fuck around. In case of Fox or tanuki to be able to turn into human, they need license, if you are doing a pranks, they are going to open the pot to punish such Foxes or Tanuki.

Reasoning why turning into human requires license is well, so they don’t got hunted indiscriminately. Foxes or Tanuki that gotten overboard with their pranks tend to trigger pest control with humans. So to avoid being hunted, it’s better to not do major pranks. This one here is just attempted murder and it’s classified as overboard pranks.

Interspecies marriage is also a serious affair. Fox must have license to turn into human and learn to adapt with human cultures. In case they got divorced, the Foxes may uses curse after applying for authorisation to do so.

This Stalker-Kun didn’t think through, so as we seen in his crime list, lots of stupid stuff he done, I would say he will be boiled in Oil alright.
