Spiders don't have ears, in the conventional sense. But increasing evidence shows that some spiders—such as jumping spiders, fishing spiders, and now ogre-faced spiders—can hear via nerve-based receptors on their legs. The receptors function like ears, picking up soundwaves and communicating the impulses to the brain.

That actually makes a lot of sense... and I know the occasional wolf spider I get in my house (I let them be so they can eat things like silverfish, just in case) can 'hear' things, because they react to loud noises. Would totally track they're getting the vibrations from the wall they're on.

I thought it was Kogane saying she needed to step up her act and not just fall asleep first in such an obviously sexy situation... and I don't think Goro wants to 'try harder' till they get married... but I could be wrong, there's no indication who actually said it.

Based on fox family, yes. Kogane met her first fiance like 40 years ago and who knows how old she was then. Foxmom and Foxdad met in the 1850s. But maybe it varies, like maybe on how much monster blood they have? Foxmom and Foxdad have a lot, so they're powerful and maybe it extends their life, and then Kogane and Akane are their kids. Or it could be the asian woman thing where they look completely unchanged from age 21 to 61 then BOOM suddenly half the height, wrinkles, curly hair, etc. 😹
