While he is 100% a god, it is also true that he doesn't have stories of miracles he performed or legends of his actions to the people of the world only things he has done inside the tower.
Pretty much. of note though they are acting like "Humanity decides who is a god" which in this setting is .... uh ... very much not the case. In fact as he has been acknowledged by the other Gods I can only see this backfire terribly on them.

Well to be fair, it's because he's more of the "haephaestus" of gods, he invents things, thus his miracles are less realized than others.
His transport system and the card system are extremely novel and powerful creations in a world like this, yet they are so "normal" seeming that people don't see them for the miracles that they are, they want something grandiose instead of something that actually betters the people of the world even if it comes off as mundane due to how common it is.

This is actually a very big point the abrahamic religions make about God, so much is done by god that we think of as "normal" that we don't see the miracle in it, most of the universe still has no explanation and even our explanations are educated guesses, but for a believer it's fairly obvious the miracle in everything around us.

In this manga, every villain is NOT sane. And really dumb. It's the author's modus operandi.
  • The churches were like: "We'll ignore the gods and use their oracles as benefits. So obey us." Before they were schooled.
  • The merchants were trying to spread rumors about the MC. Before Kouhi and Mitsuki intervened.
  • Some rando son of a noble came to do shit in this very tower. Before he was humiliated and his dad called him back.
  • A kingom sent a fleet. Actually these were the smartest dudes, as they actually said: "Nevermind, we are over our heads, we were joking. Let's be friends."

And now this retard. All of them are dumb and insane.

I'm betting Kouki will.... take care of this dude. She seems furious. Probably nothing lethal because the MC does not approve....

Hubris, what you're looking for is the term hubris.

All of them were in unshakable position of power for so long it made them think they can wriggle their way out of any trouble.

As for what'll actually happen for people who want early spoiler for the next few chapters:
Their church's claim is basically Kousuke should be doing god-like thing for the people, otherwise why is he even a god.

Sylvia was not amused by that logic and question when the fuck did the church get to decide what gods do.
Since the clown tower master already made his piece, she question the temple head if that's REALLY what his church want to claim.
Then she ask the king of Gates, who's here at the table but as just 'part of the crew' if that's what his country is standing by. Even give him a warning that for the sake of his country, maybe cut ties with these two, alluding to another of the past hubristic country that angered the god.
King, unsurprisingly, did not heed the warning.

Sylvia "Well, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but these are the seeds you sowed"
i.e. You FA'd, now you must FO.
And voila, the divine communication tool, with Eris Jamil and Spica revealing themselves to have been listening in to the whole conversation.

The gods express their anger, especially at the church for twisting the previous oracle (ch 40) to their own benefit, AND this guy is a repeat offender.
So now they must all FO, though Eris told Kousuke to decide the punishment.
King try to beg for mercy, but Kousuke counter with if Kousuke goes easy on them, the gods will scold him instead.

So in order:
Against country of Gates - their fleet that's heading to this continent, pretending ot be pirates and previously attacked Crowns' ship? It's lazor time. Kousuke will at least give them some time to evacuate from the ship (Eris adding in that if it were the other gods they would've just nuke it with no warning)
Against Beckham tower - Amamiya will start a tower battle between them. During this state the towers entrance can't be closed and whoever conquer the other side win...(guess which pissed off angel will get to vent her anger, so in a sense you were right) oh but Kousuke's got 0 interest in managing a tower on a different continent so once he's taken the tower he'll just reset it back to the neutral, unconquered state. If Gates/Beckham want to use it again, feel free to re-conquer it just like their ancestors did.
Against the church - The gods will remove their blessings from the church and any associated with it. While this isn't as bad as them removing their blessings from the land itself that led an empire to ruin in the past (crop stop growing, monsters increase, etc) a church that has been rejected by the gods will probably not be treated well by any others.

And just to put extra nails in the coffins, the gods will personally descend to announce the details of this all over the world, so no more of that twisting the oracle bs.

I bet he and his entire family of tower administrators are basically sock puppets for the church that arrived with him. He is told by his handlers that whatever they tell him to do is "for the people, for the nation" and he has been raised to avoid critical thinking of any kind and be the figure head (and scapegoat). His handlers fed him some line about Kousuke not possibly being a god since he doesn't have a priest "advising" him and therefore is some kind of selfish idiot who needs to be taught the "right way" to do things.

Sooooo, is this guy the 2.0 version of the other guy that nearly caused a public international diplomatic incident a while back? Cuz like, this all feels very "been here, done that" aside from the fact this one brought officials to back him up rather than thugs. :pepehmm:

You really didn't need a prophetic dream to predict the other "Tower Administrator" is a noodle-armed entitled asshat with delusions of grandeur proposing Something Stupid.

Also: "I'll have you declared Not A God!"
Kousuke: "And that will change Reality how exactly?"
Ah well... "antagonist" with foot-in-mouth disease #[insert large positive integer here]...

but howd they make it to amamiya tower anyway? shouldnt the invincible barrier that only lets people Kousuke approves enter, have stopped them?
That barrier was eating through resources like crazy, so it was up only temporarily while there was a clearly hostile military fleet at their doorstep.

It was never intended to be up permanently. It was just until they found a way to deal with the fleet, which they did once they found out about that lazer attack.

Did the author get some kind of writer block or something? almost half the chapter was just sex
And someone here clearly lacks reading comprehension given it makes perfect sense in context. You forget that he's been gone for a while on the pretext that they have to figure out how to evolve to a higher level of being so they could have kids with him. They're making up for lost time and they missed him its not that hard to put that together when they literally spell that out in the beginning of the chapter.
