welp
I wonder if she'll be "un-delusioned" from this point.
Except "Grimoire" seems savvy enough to turn Kino toward his own machinations, even without her being as naive and clueless as she is.
The one saving hope is that her First Friend is currently restrained to a crystal with other people and is pretty obviously (to most people) in danger.
And I have to imagine if she shouted how these are Bad Guys, Kino would believe her - and anything done to silence her would look bad to Kino, as well.
I just really hope that her complete ignorance to social norms and crippling anxiety don't set her up for obvious manipulation, because while it's very slapstick in terms of tone where Kino's power and antics are concerned, this developing plot is rather serious in its gravity.
I think a balance can be struck to great effect, but it will become more and more of a tightrope the longer this goes on - and introducing a dramatic element of this level this early in, needs to be carefully juggled with the inherent silliness of the protagonist.
But, thanks for the chapter, as always.
