From the early chapter, he was gambling on the mountain having so many exits that they couldn't cover them all. And he'd just quietly slip away.

yeah, but that's assuming they would be too lazy, but he should notice that they sent someone, so the spirit girl is clearly someone they care, so they wouldn't laze around in this case. I for sure get your point, but at least the bandit looked prepared, wild that he doesn't know they evaporated a place so Cross could get more time for a fight (I get him not knowing about the apprentice but at least their capability to destroy that dungeon if they think he killed the girl)

Just saying: if all he wanted was to show off his power, and make a living out of it, doing whatever he wanted --- he doesn't need to become a bandit to do that. Being the head of a legit merc group is enough.
With enough power and authority, which can probably easily achieved with his talent, he could be well renowned enough so his behavior is irrelevant.

I.E: You want to kill people and flex your muscles? Don't need to be a criminal to do that.
It'd be different if he wanted to be a mafioso boss, but that's not really it.

Oh I know what his skill that will overturn this situation is. He said he hasn't tried it yet, but we all know he did that skill many times in the past. Even toddlers know the name of that skill. Yes, its name is Emergency Plot Armor.

No it's not a good fight. Getting Dragonball dragged out 10 chapters fights vibes only to almost certainly having the MC not giving the villain his just desserts because "he is nice".

What would be a good fight then? Dragonball has a lot of good and great fights, that's a compliment more than anything. The series has worn what it's about on it's sleeve from the start, the nature of the MC has been clear since his introduction. In fact his introduction is emblematic of what to expect from him over the course of the series.

If you want something else go elsewhere, judging this for what it's not even trying to do whilst it at succeeds at what it is trying to do is an exercise in futility.
