The pace at which he is making a breakthrough is slow, because we all have read too much cheat skill wuxia manhua, were mc got some artifacts, ancient book, or some sort of soul spirit being who helps in their cultivation.
The mc in this manhua is having a astrolabe who just refine pills, and don't help him that much. All in the end it depends on his own ability.
