I know we wouldn't get the action to keep the target audience on board with the manga but she should be hospital staff from the beginning she has no place on the frontlines.

Probably it is because of the existence of magic. Foot soldiers have the power of a field artillery but at a close range, so healers/field medics act like mechanics to keep them always in shape to fight.

She is also a kid and can only cast spells for a limited amount of time, so pretty much she's expendable in a way... it sucks, but it is what it is.

It was a weird chapter, all we got is the usual retard thinking he is important, the usual commander beating everyone, and we only learned that mana pot either contain drugs or alchool.

And the commander probably saw her and went:
"I need a replacement." yoink

Still would make sense to groom her into a proper healer and the chief medic herself lamented this in an earlier chapter. But considering the medical staff seems to be completely addicted to potions, it isn't that much better.

Would be fun to see a different elite squad. Is the commander and his behaviour the norm or the exception?
Though, if this was done, it would probably be a "father to his men loses a whole unit to show that the commander's ruthlessness is acceptable" or something. War stories tend to be that way.

Garback is literally on the top 3 strongest Aces of the entire country. Normally no one would be able to get a pocket healer as he did because they cant afford to lose him unless the country situation was critical. On the enemy side he is called "The Sword Demon" and even enemy Aces prefer to not face him in single combat if possible

As funny detail, the person who was Garback CO when he was a mere soldier behaved the same or worse so lets say that Garback got strong with "tough love" and no one can say that Garback doesnt lead with the example

Man just run away before the manga's red tags.
Before? Are you saying it doesn't have [gore]? Of course it is already tagged [gore].
But yeah, will prolly end up tagged [sexual violence] soon, if the author explores "attempted rape" any further than "almost did something, but neither violence nor sexual actually happened". I doubt it will go [erotica] though, for various reasons.

The series already has the sexual violence tag; it was added a few chapters ago (for obvious reasons).
