What was the point of tag isekai/reincarnation if you did not explain anything. I lost my interest to this because there's no explanation what is happening, everything just meet new person and good bye. This should be more emotional but i really can't because i was really curious why he got reincarnated, why "ex-pro gamer" is needed in description, up until chap 20 there's 0 explanation. Waste of time 1/10

Very-very roughly speaking, it is "All Quiet on the Western Front" with cute MC. Main theme is trench survival and soldier fellowship with a light hint of magic.
Don't know about novel, but in manga "iseakai" and "genderswap" doesn't matter at all for the plot and i love it - it is ironic and gives food for thought.
I like slow paced charater growth from maggot first aid kit to a something resembles soldier who is started to be respected and relied upon by his comrades.
It will be better without isekai and magic, but i enjoyed it anyways.
