I was mistaken about him not having any useful skills in his first round in this world; he actually had them, but it was all mundane daily life skills that were extremely useful, just outside of battle. It seems he was genuinely kicked out due to his party underestimating his value. Then with him in the party, they couldn't have gotten betrayed in that manner and maybe they had a chance of winning (without Ed adding to combat capability since he wasn't OP yet back then).

The hero of this world was far from perfect, but died a hero in the end. He might have failed to save the world, but he managed to save at least one person before he died. Seems he's not quite the typical irredeemable arrogant scum in most banished fantasy stories.

I still don't believe he can go to world 0 just from this world. So I see a potential pattern for this story: Ed (and Tia if she sticks around) will do one more round of world-hopping, fixing whatever happened after he got kicked out.

I mean at least the first time in the World 001 seems he was exciled because he wasn't good enough to cover the expectativas of being in the hero party.
I assume some of the next worlds he got sacked in similar circumstances. And probably after the first dozen or so, he actually started to be useless on purpose.
I also love how he got all moody when he complained about the guy that ran away with the potions.
He realized that guy was just an opportunistic asshole... Like himself.

Man, I'm not sure if it's just because I've gotten used to reading manhwa and have been influenced by Korean authors' tendencies to write "chad" male MCs, but jesus christ, what is it with so many manga having these obnoxious MCs that are terrified of physical contact with women and apologize for literally everything, even it's it's not their fault?

I get that these types of characters are supposed to be self-inserts for lonely, socially-awkward teenage Japanese boys, but even then, the behavior seems downright abnormal to me. You're honestly going to tell me that someone who has effectively lived for over 100 years is going to act even remotely like this?

Holy fuck this is raw emotion...

It's mildly annoying how I'm looking at this chapter in a "oohhh this part is presented in a really compelling way~“ so I'm trying to ignore it.

Seeing Tia's... agony for being the only one left - after suffering through the consequences of their decision to exile Ed, and after choosing to entrust her own life to the Hero - it makes me want to hug this elf girl with an innocent-yet-mature soul.

God knows what her inner self has been through after that tragedy. I just hope she finds a proper resolution through this reunion with the.. *cough.. luggage carrier that low-key carried the entire team in the background.

Godspeed to these two. I'm moved by the story so far. 🍜✨

Interesting premise so far. I like that the heroes in this world were good people. Considering what the MC did in World 100, I'm assuming that world will be fine and will not need saving. And depending on when he started giving out instruction manuals before he left, quite a few others may not need saving. And then too, some of the early worlds may be fine, the MC was not needed there.

Wanted to comment about "apologize for literally everything", but the only time he apologized here is when he brought up the topic of his exile. Considering what happened in this world, that is a topic worthy of digging up a ptsd. Real deep stuff.

I never like it when the MC acts like nothing happened after getting kicked out/treated like shit. Not saying you got to keep a grudge and I'm sure after all the time he's lived he's more apathetic or could see why they had to kick him out, but acting like nothing happened when kicking him out is a slight betrayal on their end is kinda crazy. He mentions the fact she kicked him out clearly unbothered only to fumble his words when she's feeling guilty like he needs to reassure her that he doesn't blame her. Sigh the forgiving MC trope is annoying sometimes
