if they were going for technical accuracy, then the rover would have a 6 to 44 minute response time, therefore it would have to be some kind of AI, but then again, I doubt they really care about being accurate.

Well, given that they covered the atmospheric density but also ignored how that would make the "raging storm" a mere breeze in how it would feel. I don't think accuracy is a top priority
