Wait a sec, I just realize that if Tanker class is consider a disgrace, then MC might be one of very few. if not, the only one Tanker in that world?
I think it's less of a 'tank classes are looked down upon' and more like 'heavy knight as a class is looked down upon for being hard to use even for its intended purpose and there probably are better classes out there if you want a tank'
though I'm honestly not sure, might be wrong, one other option is that the reason his father was outraged is bc he wanted a strong offensive class and got a tank instead, but given that everyone seems to look down on him for being a HK I think the first option is more likely

@nachzil What @Shiromon said is mostly correct. Going back to the first chapter, Elma said the HK class is THE strongest, but seeing how much investment is required to use it, from equipment, to skill books, to knowledge of mechanics, it's not a noob friendly class.

That's fine for a game, but imagine something like that in real life. It absolutely makes sense why easy to use and pick up classes are more highly valued.

My eyes felt so confused because the A rank and MC look so alike
She has a slimmer build, higher forehead, shallower chin, (vertically) narrower, (horizontally) wider eyes.
Slimmer Build: If a certain dwarf were around, we'd probably be hearing "Anvil" frequently.

My takes:
  • Guild girl: Muahahah. Yeah, she's got some bite.
  • Kalos: I immediately started a countdown to "when does her crazy/weird side show?" ... Several panels later... weirdly optimistic/nice.
  • Hilde: I like her. A bit of a pain, but she's fun. Not malicious, just arrogant and bossy. She'll learn.
  • Looks like Elma and Luce were nice enough not to tell Hilde that she also had to pay them (indirectly) for the shield she's using.
